Digital TV Advice for the Elderly and Disabled

Written by Super User on .

The independent consumer research charity, Research Institute for Consumer Affairs (RICA), has a good website aimed at the old and disabled, that can help people get the best out of digital TV, and includes useful advice on going digital and buying the easiest-to-use products. Much of this knowledge is acquired from its extensive testing of products. It provides sound background information on choosing equipment and connecting up to get the best digital TV experience.

The site also has some practical advice too. For example, do you want to watch TV for free after having bought the equipment, or do you want to pay a monthly subscription to receive more channels? It clearly maps out your options and helps point you in the right direction.

The website’s digital TV pages can be found at: http://www.rica.org.uk/content/digital-tv-options
